In the mid 70's our family left the small Greek island of Cyprus as refugees and moved to the states. A few years after working in various Chicago restaurants we moved to West Lafayette, Indiana and opened The Parthenon Restaurant in the Chauncey Hill Mall. Pappou (grandpa), Yiayia (grandma), and three families (brothers, sisters, in-laws, and kids) all worked together to open and manage The Parthenon Restaurant. We were one of the first ethnic restaurants in town and were blessed that our restaurant was well received, and became a local landmark of sorts. Over the years at our restaurant we have fed thousands of people and served over a million of our homemade gyros. A true testament to our commitment to satisfying customers is our large list of patrons that have frequented our restaurant since opening day.
